What is laser spider vein removal?
Vascular lasers Nd: YAG 1064 nm provide the best treatment for spider veins and telangiectasia. When the laser light is absorbed the vessels will shrivel up without damaging the normal skin. Any area on skin can be treated including face and legs.

How long does a treatment take?
Every treatment session may take from several minutes to half an hour depending on the area treated.

How many treatments are needed?
Depending on the area and size of veins number of treatments may vary between 1 and 6. Treatments are done 3-4 weeks apart.

What does the skin look like after treatment?
The treated areas may have temporary redness or purple discoloration. Blisters may rarely occur following treatment. In rare cases the treated areas may heal with increased or decreased pigmentation. Scars are possible but occur very rarely. Almost all telangiectasia can be successfully treated. Darkly tanned or pigmented skin is usually not treated with vascular lasers.
Avoid sun tanning and tanning beds after laser treatments.
Use a minimum SPF 30 containing cream when outdoors.

Who shouldn't undergo laser spider vein removal?
People with skin infections, prone to scar formation and pregnant and lactating women shouldn't undergo laser hair removal.
